expanding horizons

made a car trip to LA on April 29 to meet with a couple gallery people. i think it all went well. i left 2 pieces at http://www.hivegallery.com/ downtown on 6th St, for the May show. Romina curates a great exhibit .  and i made a good connection for a future show at http://www.modestflyartgallery.com/ , where Iren is owner/operator.
i took my bicycle along, and made use of it in a ride up Onion Valley Rd out of Independence. great ride! wanna do it again today.

a little retrospective of the last 5 years

new works at website

another rainy friday in grass valley. perfect for stoking up the wood stove in the shop, and making art all day. take a look at the website for some new "nail fetish" sculptures. i may have to rename what i'm doing, as nails are playing a diminishing role in things lately. me and bronson; we go where the wind blows us. many artists have a short attention span i've noticed, always racing on to the next idea.

snow daze

three days of snow. no bike rides, no walking the dog, but lots of hours in the shop, making new art, including a piece for the 4th Annual Outside the Box show in Auburn CA.  "Outside the Box".
Going to Loomis in the AM for a bike ride, below the snow. The forecast is for low 50's and mostly sunny.
